Each session is on the Friday listed, at 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
 

  • Friday, September 30: Feelings - activities will be based on how our bodies and faces change depending on whqat we are feeling and understading that all feelings are OK
  • Friday, October 28: Fall Animals: Fall is a very busy time for our animal friends because they are preparing for hte cold winter months.  We will read some stories, do some activities and sing some songs about busy fall animals.
  • Friday, December 9: Yoga: Relaxation and Exercise Skills - activities for children will include yoga poses, movements, breathing exercises, storytime, sensory experiences as well as the sharing of realazation and calming strategies/tools with children's caregivers., 
  • Friday, December 30: Understanding Others  - Learning activities for this topic will stem from social and emotional skills of young children - Helping children become caring, competent and confident individuals.  We will focus on being kind and fair to others.
  • Friday, January 27: Lunch for a Bear - This is a seasonal activity about what black bears eat and where they live, as well as tracks they leave in the snow. This activity will inlcude working as part of a group INDOORS AND OUTDOORS! Please bring appropriate clothing for a short oudooor play time in the winter - if weather permits.
  • Friday, February 24: Using Our Words - The importance of using our words to express our feelings so others will listen, understand and try to help us. Strategies of how to slow down, stop and think, and ask what can I do to solve this problem, as well as, ideas will be shared of ways to feel calm inside!
  • Friday, March 30: Friendship Community - Learning activities for this topic will stem from social and emotional skills of your children – helping children become caring, competent and confident individuals. We will focus on the positive strategies of cooperation, how working together and being a team is so beneficial as well as how it all comes together as friendship.
  • Friday, April 27: Bird Beak Buffet - Learning activities for this topic will stem from social and emotional skills of your children – helping children become caring, competent and confident individuals. We will focus on understanding and discovering a bird’s behaviors and actions in the world around us.
  • Friday, May 25: What a Wonderful World - Learning activities for this topic will stem from social and emotional skills of your children – helping children become caring, competent and confident individuals. We will focus on respecting all that is around us!
  • Friday, June 29: Ants on Parade - This seasonal gathering will involve ants and will encourage children/families to observe ants, move like ants and to create an ant using their hands/fingers as the painting tools!
