Buying an ebook from Storybook Cove is not much different from buying a regular book online. Google ebooks is a cloud based digital reading service. This means that any device with an internet connection will be able to read Google Editions ebooks. Any smart phone, tablet (including the Ipad), and computer and nearly all dedicated digital reading devices (except the Kindle) will be able to read Google Editions ebooks. You will even have the option to download the book if you prefer. Because there is no hardware to buy and, if you use a general browser, no software to install, Google Editions is a great option for people who aren't sure they want to do much digital reading. If you have an Ipad, you can read through your browser or with an app, but if you want to support us, shop with your browser through our website and read the book through your IndieBound Reader app for iOS.

1) What is Google eBooks™?
Google eBooks are a great way to discover, buy, and enjoy your favorite digital books, online and offline, powered by Google. You can buy a Google eBook directly from us, and then read your purchased book on your computer, your smartphone, or your electronic reading device.
Google eBooks are kept in the cloud (Google's computer servers), which means you can do more than just read your book. You can switch from one reading device to another without losing your place, manage your digital book collection on your digital bookshelf, and easily access your book on more than one device. And if your eReader device becomes lost or damaged, your books will still exist, safe on Google's servers, where you can access them any time through your Google Account.

2) How do I buy a Google eBook from this website?
You can buy a Google eBook from us by logging in with your Google account. It's easy to do. Here is a step-by-step walk-through:
- Login to, or if this is the first time you buy a book or ebook from storybookcove.com, create your free Storybook Cove account.
Login to or create your free Google account. If you use Gmail or Google Docs or Calendar you already have a Google account. You can do this mid-purchase as well, but we've found it’s a lot easier to do this ahead of time. (Note: The first time you link your Google account to storybookcove.com, you will need to authorize STORYBOOK COVE to access your Google Account in order to purchase Google eBooks from us - we do not get access to any private information in your account.
- Once you have a Google account, you can use “SIGN IN USING YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT” in the “Log in to Your Account Box” to the right or use this link:

- SEARCH for the book you want. You can search for the book in the standard search field. Once you've found the book you want click on the "Other Editions of This Title" link. This will give you a list of all the book's available formats, including Google eBooks. Then click on the edition you want, in this case the Google eBook format.

- Add the book to the cart just like you were buying a regular book. Click "Check Out," when you are done shopping.
- The first time you buy a Google eBook, you will be taken to a page to link your Storybook Cove account with a Google Account. Click on "Click here to link Google Accounts." Then accept Googles terms and conditions. You only have to do this once.
- You will be taken to the cart to finish your order. Fill in the billing information. Click "review order". If everything is correct, then click "Submit Order."
- You will be taken your My Google Ebooks page. Click "Read" to read the book through your browser, or if you'd prefer, click “Download” for offline reading.
3) Which devices are supported?
- Android tablets and smartphones. To enjoy your Google eBooks, and continue to support our bookstore, you can download and install the IndieBound Reader app for free on any Android device running Android 2.2 or higher.
- eReader devices. Google eBooks can be read with any dedicated eBook reader that runs Adobe Content Server 4's ePub DRM, including the Nook and Sony Portable Readers. The full list of Adobe-compatible devices can be found at http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/devices/. At the moment, Google eBooks books are not compatible with Amazon Kindle devices.
- iPhone/iPad. You can download and install the IndieBound Reader app for free on the iPhone, iPad.
- Web browsers. You can read Google eBooks on any browser with JavaScript enabled.
4) What are the required configurations?
Once you've purchased your Google eBook, it will be associated with your Google Account (which you can create for free at any time). You can then read it on any web browser with JavaScript enabled. No special software is necessary.
