Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April.  Every store is unique and independent, and every party is different. 

At Storybook Cove on Saturday, April 29 our events include . . .

10:00 am to 1:00 pm: and 7:00 pm to close: Play PLINKO at check out and receive up to 30% OFF
10:30 to 11:30 am: Listen to some classic Golden Book stories and Make Your Own Little Golden Book craft (while supplies last)
11:30am to noon OR 12:00pm to 12:30pm: Come meet Laura Lovett, our Paper-to-Pen writing instructor who will run a mini-session for boys & girls ages 8 to 13 and learn of upcoming sessions that will be offered.
1:30 pm to 3:30 pm: Historical discussion and presentation by Stephen Brown, son of author Harry H. Brown, chauffeur, historian, farmer, youth leader, storyteller, dowser and community leader who lived to 102 and who wrote: Stories of Yesteryear: Horse & Buggy Days - stories of Pilgrim descendants through the turn of the twentieth century. Link to more info
►3:30 to 4:30 pm: "Book Character" scavenger hunt throughout the store
4:30 pm to 6:30 pm: S.E. Toon will perform a couple of Story Circle Tales with kids of all ages and will read from and sign her young adult fantasy/paranormal novel "PIRATES of LOBSTER COVE" .  Link to more info.
