Amanda C. Thompson is a freshman studying Communication Arts at Gordon College. She grew up in Cohasset, a tiny coastal town midway between Boston and Cape Cod, and uses her experiences growing up as a springboard for her young adult fiction. She strives to reach teens with important messages about defining who they are and what they stand for, connecting with them through her intimate familiarity with the world in which they live. She likes to think that her success is not determined by the number of books she sells, but by the degree to which her audience is made to feel and, most importantly, to think for themselves and explore a world outside of the box.
