In the book Where Is Your Smile, Baby James?, baby James arrives in the kitchen for breakfast without his smile. His older brother Shane immediately sets off to look for it accumulating many lost treasures along the way with which he amusingly adorns himself. Of course Shane never finds the smile because the ability to enjoy life's pleasures can only come from within oneself. But at the end of the boys' curious expedition the smile does mysteriously appear.
