  • OPEN HOUSE ON SEPTEMBER 12, 2009 CELEBRATING EXPANSION OF LONG TIME LOCAL INDEPENDENT CHILDREN'S BOOKSTORE, STORYBOOK COVE

    In celebration of and as a thank you to the many long time customers who have supported Storybook Cove at Merchants Row, Washington Street/Route 53, Hanover, MA, Storybook Cove will be having an open house on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Come check out the new space, take advantage of the "pop the balloon" sale/promotion, meet authors, obtain information about upcoming workshops and birthday party themes, and celebrate independent bookselling in Hanover, Massachusetts where you are always encouraged to "EAT, SLEEP, READ".     Local independent children's bookstore, Storybook Cove, in business in Hanover, Massachusetts since 1990, has expanded into bigger space within Merchants Row, Routes 53 and 123, Washington Street, Hanover, MA "We have taken our inspiration from Oh the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Suess" said Janet Bibeau the longtime owner/manager of Storybook Cove. "As we have told over 4000 customers by written newsletter and e-mail: Oh the places we are going! Come join us as we soar to high heights! We are now ready for anything under the sky! In our expanded space (from 800 to 2500+ square feet) we are now able to offer more books(soon to include NY Times and Indie Bound Bestsellers/Recommendations for adults) and more unique book-related toys, games and gifts. Also in our new dedicated event space we will be able to run more story times and author events as well as new summer/school vacation fun workshops, provide a convenient meeting space for book clubs, and soon offer theme birthday parties" said Janet. "We are very excited about the new avenues we can pursue to better serve our very loyal customers as well as the many new customers we can now accommodate."

    Storybook Cove moved into the upper level space at Merchants Row formerly occupied by Assinnippi Trading Co. in early June. Family members, close friends, and many customers helped to move Storybook Cove. When asked why they came to help, the answers were varied, but had consistent themes
