Clement C. Moore (1779-1863) was a professor of literature and theology. He wrote A Visit from St. Nicholas, which later became 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. It was published anonymously in 1823, and later attributed to Moore. Marcin Nowakowski is an illustrator.
